Grey for Summers
If there was a season designed to wear grey morning noon and night, it is Summer. Sophisticated, tonal and occasionally with a smattering of silver sparkle, grey just works for you. From silver to blue-grey all the way to charcoal and mole, there aren't many shades of grey that don't work on Summer. It pairs wonderfully well with tonal shades like denim blues and mauve pinks, but also forms the perfect backdrop to a more zingy contrast like cherry red or royal purple. The only greys that you need to avoid are the warm greenish greys of Autumn; pretty much everything else is fair game.
Grey makes a grey smart work look that's a little less terrifying (and unflattering) than black. Pair it with softest nimbus grey for a seriously smart look, or add a bright pop of colour for less formal days.
There's a reason 75% of loungewear comes in grey. Easy on the eye and, in the case of Kettlewell's amazing alpaca shawls, every bit as cosy as it looks. Add a splash of something brighter to make sure you don't feel drab while you're relaxing.
Kettlewell's taupe bike officially makes every outfit better, and when the starting place is as good as this Jersey Maxi Skirt and cashmere combo, you can't go wrong.
