Write a reviewThe Sea Blue Minna was a lovely colour but a very small fit. I wear Medium in the Connie jumper, but even the Large in the Minna was too small, in particular the underarm seams were too tight.
Perfect, love the long sleeves. Purchased size S for a fitted look.
This is a really nice jumper, and the colour (Sea Blue) is stunning and perfect for me as a warm spring (and probably amazing on autumns too.) It's 'neutral' without being boring. Like everyone else, I had to size up, the Small, which I normally wear in the Connie and fits perfectly, was like wrestling into a child's jumper. I initially thought the Medium too loose as it was slightly more relaxed than a Small Connie, but after a few minutes I got used to it. Slightly baffled why the sizing has changed (more tension on the knit for this one?) and the sleeves are pretty long on my 17" arms, but I will enjoy wearing it. It looked fantastic with my collection of KW scarves, especially browns and coral. The slightly lower neckline is nice for showing off a necklace.
My regular size was definitely too small but one size up was perfect! I love the softness and warmth, and of course the beautiful color options. Took a bit of trial and error, but I ended up with a much loved sweater.
Disappointed with the ‘new look, new name’ version of the Connie jumper. I usually wear XS in a Connie and ordered a Sea Blue Minna in XS but the sleeves felt tight and I needed to size up to S, which was a better fit in the sleeves. However, when I tried a Lilac Pink Minna in size S the sleeves felt tight - like the XS. and it has been returned. I will not size up to an M as I think the overall fit will be too big for my frame and would spoil the style of this jumper. I would love to see the return of the Connie in its original yarn or an adjustment made to the design of the sleeves in the Minna. The yarn used for the Minna is lovely and soft but doesn’t seem to have as much ‘give’ as the yarn used for the Connie.
I bought this jumper in ochre and a size medium as recommended to go up a size, it fits well and the quality is very good, I bought a merino jumper a few years ago and it washes so well and doesn’t bobble, hope this one is the same.
After reading the reviews I ordered a small , one size up from my usual XS but it was far too snug. The colour is lovely so Im going to try a Medium.
Compared to the Connie sweater I would advise sizing up. I bought size L (14) It was ok but I prefer a relaxed fit. Sleeves were too long and the Merlot colour was too muted for me. Connie wins for me. Not reordering. A size 16 could be too big.
Softer than the Connie, but the fit is terrible in comparison, and the knit tension is very tight. The sleeves (already long on the Connie) are nearly 2" longer. It is also a fair bit smaller than the Connie for the same size. I will try an XL (which I definitely AM NOT!!) but think that the shoulders will be voluminous.
A little disappointed that Nightshade is a slightly duller colour than that shown on the model. The picture with the jumper shown on its own is a closer colour match. Nevertheless I have decided to keep it as I like the design - I have two Connie sweaters which are lovely and warm for the cold weather but Minna is a little more 'refined'. The fabric feels less bulky, although when I tried it on it was nice and cosy so I don't think warmth will be a problem. The fit was better on me too. One of my Connies is quite loose even though both are large size. For reference I am 5' 5.5", smaller on top (37" bust but small boobs) with slim arms so I didn't have any problem with sleeve size as have some other reviewers. It is also about a half an inch shorter in length, which I prefer. Quite an expensive buy but I hope to get a lot of wear out of both styles.
