giving back

At Kettlewell we recognise the responsibility that companies have to use their social standing to give something back to the community. While we do our best to minimise the amount of stock we have left at the end of each season, where there is some end of line excess, we distribute these pieces across two charitable causes.

As a brand we strive to produce clothes that are of a premium quality so that they last for many years. We understand that over time, tastes will change and wardrobe choices evolve and for this very reason our Reloved group was formed. This forum allows customers to buy from one another at discounted rates and swap pre-loved items to continue their journey to a new home with the right person, who will wear them and treasure them for more years to come. Read more about our Reloved group and selected charities below.

Smart Works

As part of Kettlewell Colours' commitment to sustainability, we are delighted to support the Smart Works charity. This UK charity dresses and coaches unemployed women for their job interview. They empower each woman by giving her the clothes, coaching and confidence she needs to succeed and transform her life. After visiting Smart Works, 69% secure a job within a month, gaining financial independence and starting a new chapter of their lives.

In September, our founder Melissa, and our Reloved page manager Jane, visited Smart Works in London. Melissa Interviewed Hannah, Director of Partnerships, you can view the interview below.

Newlife

At the end of each season and after the sale we send a large portion of our end of line and damaged stock to New Life, a charity which ensures that disabled and terminally ill children get the best possible start in life and have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Each year Newlife saves thousands of tonnes of waste from being sent to landfill or incinerated.

Kettlewell Reloved Facebook page

This Group has four main functions:

1. For members to buy, sell or swap preowned Kettlewell products

2. The place where you can buy Kettlewell excess stock from previous collections at reduced prices

3. To inspire you to make the most of your wardrobe and make every piece work for you to maximise longevity and wear

4. To support our chosen charity partners by raising funds and donating our time and expertise.

For every item of excess stock from previous collections we sell in this Group, £1 is donated to Smart Works. If you wish to make an optional voluntary donation as a buyer or seller, or even raise funds for the charity, you can do so here
